MONDAY MORNINGS

Happy Monday wanderlusters! How are you starting your day today? If you are like me, you'll drag your carcass out of bed, probably hit your head on something, go to the bath and stare in the mirror like a zombie, lifelessly walk into the kitchen for either some juice, tea or coffee, followed by breakfast and then make your way to your laptop/iPad/tablet/smart-phone. Sound about right?

I know when I first log on in the morning I always browse the articles (and weather and horoscope sections) of Yahoo! Well, I came across this article on the "7 Craziest Hotels Around the World". Hmm. Sounds...crazy, yeah? Of course I had to read.

It looks like these are the craaaaziest hotels one can stay in when traveling: 

1. Hotêl de Glace, Canada

2. La Villa Hamster, France

3. Bubble Tree Hotel, France

4. Grand Cayon Cavern Suites, Arizona

5. Propeller Island City Lodge-Berlin, Germany

6. Save the Beach Hotels- various locations throughout the world

7. Sala Silvermine Underground Suite, Sweden

Even though they seem a little oddball, I definitely want to stay in at least 3 of the 7 someday! Have any of you wanderlusters ever stayed a night or two in one of these hotels?

MY DREAM IS COMING TRUE

Ever since I was a little girl I have dreamed of someday interning with a big name fashion magazine. Well, that dream is finally coming true on Tuesday! I am going for an interview with InStyle magazine and just in time for Mercedes Benz Prague Fashion Week!

Eeeeeep! My excitement cannot be contained :)

WHAT A GLOOMY SUNDAY

Last week I worked a crazy 60+ hour week so I was extremely exhausted and pretty much hit the sheets after coming home every night or I just walked around like a zombie. This week will be a little less hectic with fewer hours and shorter driving time but...I get all four of my wisdom teeth out on Friday morning! Cue the horror movie music. 

I am terrified. 

I've never had any type of surgery or anesthesia or drugs so I have no idea what's going to happen to me! Granted, I've grown up getting all sorts of work done in my mouth but that's why I loathe the dentist and dread every visit there. When they told me it was time for my wisdom teeth to be extracted, I got one too many butterflies and wanted to chicken out. However, being an adult and what not means doing things that aren't necessarily comfortable but need to be done. So, that's what I'm doing, getting my wisdom teeth out. 

Hopefully I am not in too much pain so I can start writing some posts again, I miss all my wanderlusters and writing! This summer has just taken several unexpected turns and I haven't been able to write as much as I originally planned. I know that when I return to Prague in 2 1/2 weeks that I will be writing more and more and I may have some exciting news coming to you all in September! 

Wherever you are in the world, I hope it's sunny and beautiful out because where I currently am, it's gray and gloomy. I was planning on going to Philadelphia with my sister today but staying in bed until 1:30 (13:30) just seemed like the perfect way to spend my Sunday. 

Well, it's back to the work week grind and it's time for me to watch a movie and relax for the rest of the night!

INTERIOR DESIGN

Lately I have been obsessing over interior design and I find myself glued to the screen whenever browsing through the Pinterest 'Home Design' section.
So, this is a fun, non-travel related post! Enjoy and have a lovely morning browsing (at school when you are bored or at work when you are drinking your first cup of coffee).

 

I love doing these types of posts, so I think I will make this a weekly thing- plus it's a nice break from all the travel posts. Also, I want to do a little 'What I am loving this week' at the end of a post sometime in the week. Starting this week sometime I will begin to do that.

P.S. It's the last day of April (on my side of the world)--where does time go!? I have two weekends of work left, three weeks of classes + exams left, I am moving into the new flat in the next few weeks, in 21 days my best friend comes to Prague and then we are off for our mini Euro-trip!!

Feeling a Little Arts-and-Crafts-y

Hi Wanderlusters!

I'm going to post the New York City/Long Island post tomorrow morning when sipping on a warm cappuccino. So get ready! But today, a lazy and dreary Sunday afternoon, I am feeling kind of creative/arts and crafts-y, so I decided I'm going to make several inspiration boards when I get back home to Prague in a few days (eeep!). These are going to be boards on just general things I like, on travel destinations/places I've been, foods I like or would like to try, fashion, quotes; just anything and everything basically.

I went quote searching on Pinterest for about an hour the other day and found some really cool ones that will go on my quote board. Here are a few I liked and want to share with you guys.
